Thamar NIWEMUKIZA

Research Intern

Thamar NIWEMUKIZA is a Research intern at Team Heart Inc, Rwanda office. As a mother and a woman, she is passionate about community health, social inclusion and equity. Additionally, Thamar strongly believes in diversity, education and awareness impacts. Thamar is a registered public health specialist with an education background of a Master in Public Health, Global Health specialization from Mount Kenya University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of Rwanda. Thamar melds her scientific and educational background to uplift community health and promote Saving Young Hearts to build the future.

Under Research manager supervision; at Team Heart, Thamar assists and supports ongoing researches through data collection, cleaning,extraction , translation and analysis. Moreover, she assists in writing reports and other other dissemination documents. On the other hand, Thamar assists in post operative patients follow up by collecting and recording their monthly INR as well as providing patients’ emotional support and doing patients’ advocacy.
